Ok I just got owned

That's still weird hehe. My scangauge still reads 14.7, before it would read higher when more vacuum was present etc. So I wonder if I connect it back, if it will read kinda like a boost gauge via ScanGauge

There should be no difference in afr reading because the computer you are using is from a 97 obd2, which doesn't even look at the pins that the map sensor is connected to. You don't need to disconnect it via JWT instructions, it won't make any difference. I got rid of mine and cleaned up the bay a lil bit.

There are a few sensors on the 98 and 99 cars that the older ones don't have. I just took all of mine out.

You DO NOT NEED THAT SENSOR WITH YOUR JWT SETUP!

Now, if you were running a standalone with a true MAP sensor for A/F maps, then you would have to have it, or if you are running a late model OBD2 ECU. In that case, YOU DON'T EVER want to split it off other lines. That is a critical piece and needs to be fed directly off the intake manifold.

I probably will end up getting rid of it too then. BTW what did you do with your Vapor Canister connections? I don't want the gas vapors to just sit in my bay haha



That's a pretty nice piece too. I'm buying something else from Tuner Toys, the shipping is $15 for the tiny oil psi adapter. So I need to buy something else so it wouldn't be as bad haha.



Yeah that's what I figured. BTW it looks like that MAP sensor on my 99 was Teed of another line from the manufacturer. I guess Nissan didn't bother with it and just put it in to be Emission compliant.

Yeah I bought a 10AN oil return fitting and oil line adapter from them. They give you a really cool sticker too!!!!
As far as the vapor canister... I guess thats another name for charcoal canister and I actually got rid of the whole setup and havent had any problems for quite awhile.

Yep Charcoal canister is another name haha. Well I'm going to put some thoughts together and probably start the 99 De-Emissioning thread. Yes I know there are others out there, but I have some ideas on how to work with the charcoal Canister.

yeah I got rid of anything I didnt really need since I have no emissions. Charcoal canisterm, AC, power steering and considering IACV as well.

Well I would too, and probably will when it fails, but it does help on gas mileage hehe.

This one little thing cleaned up my engine bay so much I can't believe it. One of my favorite mods, and no worries about whether the AFPR is getting good vac/boost.
