Need a few upgrade part suggestions
So I am trying to get the B14 ready for the convention, but I have been out of the loop so long I don't know what the best deals out are right now

I am long overdue for some items, what do you guys think is the best of each available for my application (basic t28 setup on 7-14psi).

Ignition: MSD Digital 6?? 7?

Wideband O2: PLX Devices? I want something basic for tuning, datalogging is nice

water temp gauge: mechanical or electrical?

Thanks for any suggestions or info, Will.

Ignition- stock with BKR-7E's gapped at .28ish
Wideband- AEM or Innovate IMO. They are much cheaper than PLX since they lack some of the bells and whistles that you wont need.
Water temp guage- I would just do electric. And I have a fitting that goes into the rad. hose for the guage sender if you want it.

I need a new ignition guys, stock isnt cutting it any more, I have been blowing out spark at high boost for a couple years. I am in fact running the 7E's at .028

I forgot I do like the LM-1 a lot.

Is that gauge fitting in a piece of metal pipe or what?

not sure how much you want to spend but i'm planning on using a pro-logger wideband and boost control. It has some real nice features, pity it looks like complete ass

Something else is wrong. There's no way you've maxed the stock ignition with 290 WHP.

Sounds like a tune issue. Get it tuned before you spend money on ignition. I've been down to .024" at higher boost levels. All in all, I haven't had much luck with MSD either.

Personally I don't like having a wideband in at all times. It's more of a tool you use for tuning purposes and after that it's redundant. I use the Innovative LM1 with datalogging.

Good point, the wideband needs to come first. The car has been sitting mostly for a long time.

I am strongly considering the LM1, I used it when I worked at a shop and I liked it. I agree that I don't really want to have it in all the time.

My grounds are good, I have a nice grounding kit on it. I guess I could give them a check though. I think it started this problem after sitting for a couple months.
