No Start :(
Well tried to get my car started tonight just N/A without the intercooler setup hooked up and it won't start. It cranks fine, but just won't turn over. I did install a new MAF, which I didn't think would cause it not to start, tried unplugging it just to see if it would go into safe mode and nothing. Thats the only new thing that I've added without the motor itself. It's getting fuel. Not sure on spark, fuel went all over the engine bay and didn't want to light it on fire haha. All that I can think of is that te distributor magically went bad. This is the same problem I had before when I installed the turbo setup on the DE. Just doesn't seem likely for it to go out like this. Any ideas will be helpful. Fuel lines are hooked up as fuel filter to regulator and the other line to the rail itself.

Here's some videos.

Thanks for the help ahead of time, I'll try a different distributor next weekend.

Isn't cranking and turning over the same thing? =/
You mean it's not firing?

more info on the setup might help, check for spark, also check and make sure you injector o-rings on the bottom side of the injector arent leaking

Just like I posted in your car thread, is your ecu DET tuned?

If not, then you will have to press the gas pedal and clutch pedal to the floor at the same time, and start cranking.

What was happening is the engine was getting over flooded with gas thus you have to WOT the car to give it enough air to start , plus the timing was way off.

Check your FPR and fuel filter too

the ecu is programmed for the regular de not turbo motor. it is programmed for the n60 maf 370cc injectors at 4 bar. It's a Avenir motor in my 99 Sentra SE-L. It's getting fuel through the line so that rules out the fuel filter. Not sure if it's getting into the rail though. As for spark I need to check it again, my friend said it wasn't sparking but I just don't see how the distributor can randomly go bad AGAIN lol But it's probably what it is :/ FPR might be bad but I'm not sure. It's a nismo, i've heard they have a tendency to go out.

And yeah It's cranking but not firing.

Try to get a DET tune, like I mentioned, I had a hard time starting the car. Also do a leak test on the injectors. When my Injector #4 seal was leaking, the car wouldn't start either because it would flood the engine.

As for distro, just get the SE-L one so that you could use the newer style wires

check for spark and make sure the igniter chip is working. You also may want to check the fuel lines to make sure they are not reversed(very common mistake).

yeah at first the fuel lines were backwards, fixed that. I'll have to check the injectors. And I've been told the 9:5 chip should work fine with the 8:5 motor it's just timing maps that are different. Shouldn't really cause a problem. But this weekend I'll be checking everything.

And Vadim what do you mean SE-L dist? I thought it's the same as the 95-97? I have the 95 off my se-r on it now because the original one blew with the first turbo install.

So what would be the benefit of using the newer wires?
