Thread: gtir cams?

What are guys who have gtir swaps or actual gtirs running cam wise? I am hearing that its not a simple drop in job like a regular det and requires shimming? Can somebody with better knowledge then myself please lmk if this is true and if so why?

Also what cams are recommended for say a holset hx35?

Jwt s3 cams for the gti-r are a drop in application.

I have heard that you have to shim any cam you put in a gti-r? I am going to email JWT and see what they say. I was looking at those, but want to know what the gains are. I haven't heard anybody post results from them.

So is anybody actually running s3m's in there gtir??? If so what was the difference?
