uncap it and set it at 45...it probably is an injector problem but this should help the "rich" problem. any cel's? like cylinder 1 misfire or anything? Does that plug smell like it has gas on it? what's the gap on that #1 plug at?

i'm willing to bet that you forgot to set the gap on that plug when you put it in and the spark is blowing out.

Give more information on your setup, btw. It helps us to help you, if we know what you've done, and what you haven't done.

x2 on the gap if the gap is too large

could be a problem at the harness itself, happened to me a couple days ago. i thought it was the injector but then i swapped the injectors from cylinder 3 to cylinder 4 which was not firing, no change still not firing on 4, then i did the next thing inline which was to check the harness. sure enough i looked at the injector clip wires right at the back side of the clip and the ecu ground wire for the injector was looking a bit weird and thin. gave it a little tug and wallah, wire just pulled apart, rewired the clip and bam, no more dead cylinder. this tends to happen on older cars alot so dont look at it weird, all the engine movement can do this kind of thing.

I would say almost 100% injector is not firing. If you unplug that one injector during idle, you will not see any difference, I guarantee it. I just went through an injector not firing situation.

First thing you should do is get a test light and hook it up to the 2 wires powering that injector. See if the light blinks, it'll be real dim, but it should blink. A volt meter won't work because the pulse is too fast. If you get blinking, your injector is bad, if no blinking, it's a bad wire or ECU.

i too said the injector, probably leading to a ecu problem, if the injector is in working order

ok guys i connected the injector plug from cyl 2 into cyl 1 and cyl number one is now firing so am guessing its the harness .
