The Garrett parts are defects that dont make it the Garretts production line. So these turbos are made from seconds.

Almost all of these turbos have clipped wheels or cut wheels, could be front and rear. This is only done to hide the defect not to increase efficency. It has been proven that cutting or trimming these wheels in this form makes the turbo more sluggish or less responsive.

These turbos started to be sold in the USA through a company in Miami Called Dynamic turbo. How do I know this you ask I was friends with both owners of Dynamic turbo.

Anyway...

well there you have it, prob a good budget turbo by the sounds on it, but hardly a performance turbo.

Heres what I know...Master Power is a Iso9000 company. Master power is located in Brazil and has a state of the art facility where they do there thing. I also know that there are so many rumors about them that you have to take them with a grain of salt. Often called ebay turbos because they look like XS power turbos even though they arent. They are also often called unreliable because people have no Idea how to properly hook up a oil return line and run an oil restrictor. Mustang guys run these turbos all day with no problems. I also know that Master power has been improving on there designs recently to knock out the problems they were having with some of there lines of turbos. Either way thanks for the info though Miko.

Bagato- I saw your thread a while back. How long have you been running the turbo for now? Alsowhat manifold are you using?

They new turbos like this one are made completely by them.

Johnny, the manifold is a custom made one, copied from the HKS top mount. Have been running it for two months. The turbo is very nice, it comes with 1 year warranty. If there is something i have learned on my experience with turbo cars, is that truck stuff is always good...!

Bruce at Protech is based out of California. One man operation (which is why his products are so damn good!) QA/QC are out of this world. He's pricey, but you ALWAYS get what you paid for. You tell him what you want, no matter what, and he'll make it. He's done mild to ABSOFUKINLUTELY WILD.

I'd buy another Bruce manifold before I even thought about looking anywhere else.

they seem to run the garret gt 10 bladed, back swept, tall tip design which is a great design for any cheap turbo

but they arnt ball bearing too my knowledge so why do the need a restrictor?

I have to get Johnny's back on this one. Master power turbos are really nice turbos and the ls1tech.com, turbobuick.com, corralforums(mustang guys), dsm guys love them. Well made quality parts. When I get home, I'll find the links I have about them.

I am not using an oil restrictor in my turbo... I used a very thick braided line, to the stock oil drain location so not sure if I need to restrict the oil pressure . The VE oil pump makes like 120psi though.

Yeah, as I said, you cant go wrong with stuff meant for trucks, they have to be very reliable or they wont sell anything. A lot of trucks comes from factory with MP turbos, like some Mercedes buses.

I do think that the compressor is very big for a stage 3 turbine wheel, thats why i am planing to upgrade it to a P-trim soon.
