THe first thing I did after I read this was check where you were at. I figured it had to be somewhere close to or in the south! I was right. You have no Idea how many times I read the same thing on local boards! People are in love with V8's and swapping them into stuff here.

Screw this if I was going to swap a motor into an S14 it would be an RB26DETT, 1JZ-GTE, or a 2JZ-GTE (even though I don't believe in cross branding but I will always make an exception for a 1J or a 2J).

id say 2jz because parts are affordable. but then im a cheap, broke ass sooo.....

yeah the 2jz is a nice motor, and they fit in quite easily. However i would still prefer the sr for my driving style. depends on what you want though

^^ where you from blue240? As speedlab is a south autralian workshop and i personally know jeff the tuner, who loves his rb's

but that dyno proves nothing still, people have made more power than that on standard sr20det's before. Granted they might not last long but i doubt that car will either
