Going back about 10 years, the best replecement wires for OEM are the NGK wires. Of recent testing, those large Taylor 10.5mm wires have been great for turbo setups and nitrous setups from what I have seen. THey hold up really well and aren't that expensive really. OEM are fine also, but usually a bit pricey.

OEM wires are beter than Taylor wires.

Ultra Wires are beter than OEM wires.

I ran OEM and Ultra wires on my 11 sec Nitrous car. Have been using Ultra wires from back in 1994, Thanks to Mark Forbs at BRM who would get them from a US distributor.

I have tried and seen wires come and go and Ultra Wires and OEM wires have always been on the top of the list.

I have spoken personally to MSD and Jacobs and they both admitted their wires were not beter than OEM wires.

NGK wires are OK but they are poorly made and fall apart or break when pulling them off the spark plug.

You come to FL and you will see what the big boys run around here in the big HP cars, ULTRA WIRES and if you cant get then OEM wires. Everything else is show.

Ultra Wires
OEM

Below is a small list of wires to stay away from.

MSD
Nology
Jacobs
Split Fire
Bosch

Also dont let Big Fat wires fool you. It is a gimick. I guess if they are thibnker they must be beter.

Please take note the smllaest wires Ultra Wire and OEM work beter than the others and if NGK can get a little bit of quality controll going the y could be up on the list.

Bigger isn't a gimmick, it is just more shielding usually for less interference with the car's electrical (radio speaker hum etc.)

Yah but these bigger wires arch quicker than OEM and Ultra Wires.

Ultra wires will never ark, if you have ever seen the design you would understand.

Maybe I will have Serban take pictures of a disassembled Ultra Wire.

When you have tried them all you will understand what I am saying. The market is so mcu oriented if mine is bigger than yours hype that no one looks into the quality build of a product and or if the wire it self has the least electrical resisance.

OEM and Ultra Wire again.

I wouldn't have continued getting taylors if they didn't impress me. The quality is very good on them. I haven't had a single issue and they work wonderful, OEM were nice but I used to get radio interference on a stock car, changed wires and it was gone. The OEM wires did have 40k miles on them I understand. The Taylors we will see I guess. I won't change wires till I have 50k on these and see how they are holding up.
