I´ve been running a cheapo IEquus mechanical gauge for 5 years... so far no problems. Only leaked a little bit once and I only tightened the connector.

I'm not a hater of mechanical gauges. Just be careful. If it leaks in-cabin its nobody's fault but your own.
I like my VDO electrical gauge. It does the job fine and is actually a pretty simple install.

CS oil distro block. Accept no substitutes.

i run the mech with a small st/br line off the fact to the nissport unit on the firewall..no leaks and 3 yrs running.
