Intercooler Piping question...... PLEASE Help!!
I've searched for hours... I will be running T25 avenier (almost done). I have 2" piping and I will be going blow through.. I have a dilema, i think. The TB is 3", stock SR20 MAF adapter is 3".. will running 2" piping into the maf be ok? Will running 2" piping to the TB from the MAF be ok? Im stuck.... what do i do?

TB is 2.75" I ran 2.25" hot side and 2.5" cold side on my avenir on 10psi. Just use reducers and you will be fine a good site to get them from is Intercooler Pipe Fabrication - Silicone Intake Systems Auto Parts BE sure to use T-Bolt Clamps too!

As stated above the TB is 2.75".

I suggest you run 2" or 2.25" with 2.5" tops on hot side, and at least 2.5" on cold side.

Why? Because you will most likely have to run under rad support, and 2" is easier to run under rad support.

As for why 2.5" cold side? Because the DE MAF on one side is 2.5". Makes it easier to work with, get the coupler from 3" to 2.5".

Ok... would it be bad or less effective to go 2" all the way for now? Even boosing up to lets say 12psi?

Imo you will be chocking the engine while outside of boost.

I know what you mean, eBay 2" kits cost around $100 and 2.5" cost around a $100. So to mix them both it costs a bit. For that reason I went with 2.5" for the most part on both sides.

You will not have any problems running 2" pipe even if the MAF and TB are bigger if that's what you have to do for a while. But by the time you buy the required reducers, you might as well run 2.5" from turbo to TB as this is ideal and would cost about the same as the reducers.

2" is fine on a T25 setup. But, you may as well do the 2.5" and spend less from the get go.

Can you explain why the 2" stuff?

From what I heard, it supposed to reduce turbo lag. But On a T25 that's pretty much not there to begin with hehe.

Not exactly sure how it would reduce turbo lag, because it would still have to compress to a 2.5" pipe later on.

The only reason that I wish I went with 2" hot side is for more room
