Is that the guy with the N1 intake mani and stuff we talked about a while ago. I know there was a guy with the same turbo as me with a bigger AR housing making 500whp or so on 20psi. What compression was he? I am 8.5:1 right now.

He had SR20DET 8.5 to 1 forged pistons which work out to 9.3 to 1 in a VE motor.
Stop playing around with that log manidold, its killing you.
All these guys above were running stock SR20VE cams.

I went with custom JE pistons this time around to drop the compression to 8.5 with the VE head. I wanted to do more boost on pump gas so I got these from Greg V. They got a dish big enough to eat chunky soup out of heh heh.
by the way, I will be selling the log mani soon but I don't know how much port matching needs to be made to fit a DET. This should fit with little modification right? I am going to try and convince anyone going VET in the future to go tubular.
its easy to make that manifold fit a DE with out port matching.
Notch out the holes higher up about 1/8 of an inch and they will line up.
On the VE with the old DE header design, I would notch out the holes 1/8 of an inch lower and tack weld washers on to 4 of the holes so that the manifold would stay in place, that does not need t be done to yours as the headers will be going down instead of up.

if you had to guess, what would be your guess on power output with your mani and that turbo on 20psi with just a stock sr16 head.
im gonna be using a log manifold on my ve-t setup with a t3t04 and tial 38mm wastegate but again im not going for insane numbers either, i want a turbo thats not too large not too small so its not too laggy but is big enough to make 300whp at only 10psi so the motor is safe. Again thats with the larger valves and portwork. So thats my plans unless they change. But first things first is definetly to get this head refreshed and a metal ve headgasket. i think i should be pretty well off at only 10psi and im also thinking of only running 100 octane in it as well for the most part. But we will see.
