Its the guage temp sensor, it is the wrong one. This is a common problem that people forget to do.

Please dont confuse guage temp sensor and head temp sensor. They are right next to eachother but the guage temp senor is the one prong sensor.

Right, if you go to a parts store the gauge sensor is listed at the temp switch. If you go in and ask for a sensor you will prob get the actual coolant temp sensor and not the one for the guage.

Ah yes Miko had to clear this one up for me a couple of months ago, i did a Ga to RR swap in my b14 and im using the NX1600 digi cluster and had to make sure i had the right sensor....Honestly it makes perfect sense and you wouldnt think to check the guage sensor since its "working"....
