Thats what im after, thats why once the ve head is done with the work i want to do, i want to make 300whp and tq on only 9-10psi, That way reliability wont be an issue. But then again for the most part boosted cars and reliability rarely go together, but its possible.

I wonder why that is the case, I sure as heck want reliability hehe

I will have this motor for another year or so at least. When it comes time for a new one I am going to boost this one to death on the dyno. I am thinking of q16 and 35psi heh heh.

I haven't dynod on 10psi with the VET cams but it is around 300whp.

I could rev to 10k with a GT4202R and make 800hp...

because turbo engines have more stuff that can break, i mean heck you can have the motor itself last a long time but you have other stuff like the turbo that can go out, Your talking more expensive clutch kits needed, This goes mainly for you really start pushing power up there. A stock det setup should be very reliable and last a long time. But then again ive never been one to just leave a de+t stock, haha, But thats why im gonna do my best to only leave the boost at 9-10psi most and want to make 300whp. It should be plenty safe. have very good flow which will equate for the big power on low boost levels. Should last a long time and be able to take both daily driven miles and drag strip runs with ease.

See the thing about it is, you will only go to 10k rpm on a dyno, and maybe on a strip, I loose all traction at 6k rpm hehe, in 3rd gear 6k rpm is pushing 90mph and that's a night in jail if caught

lol yep if you want reliable keep it stock, haha thats the way they were designed which was to remain reliable all while making decent power, but if you want big power its gonna cost ya and always be ready for problems.

So what I would recommend if you are looking for comfort, reliability and can still take the kids to the store..... do what we did and build a fox body stang, 91, with a 428 dart block, twin turbo and a turbo400 auto. And heres what you get, a car daily driven with 1300rwhp, runs 9.4@156 and thats on low boost....... Have fun!!!! Also not that expensive to build.

The "line " at least for me its when you cant use your car everyday or for any use..
Thanks.
