Though there are exceptions to that. My SE-L was old people owned and they never changed the oil.

That's a bluebird or the VC was changed/painted.

dosnt the buebird come with a black and red vc because inside where the spark plug wires are is completley red. also this motor came automatic with the bb turbo. the turbo number is 466473-4b and boosts at 9-10 psi

dow can you tell diff from us sr20 and sr20det
i just got a car with a sr20 with turbo new to nissan how can i find out witch motor it is and can it be done without taking off head or without taking apart

theres a number on the front of the block..like 78e..etc..you can check on the forum for the engine codes...i think that might help..

So this is a very old thread but very good information over here.

Aparently that doble conector TPS is for SR20 with automatic tranys, thats why you guys found it on W11 and W10.

I have a question here. I have been looking some SR20DET pics, and I can see some DET whit the oil filter located in the same place than USDM sr20de's, but also there are a lot of DET's with the oil filter located back in the block (just down the intake manifold). Does this means something about if it is a Bluebird engine or Avenir engine?

Hmm, that's interesting Victor. I'm not sure of an Avenir that wasn't auto and there are members here who say they have received Avenir motors with 1 TPS plug. Maybe there was a model/year that offered a manual tranny for the Avenir, but FWI've read all the Avenirs came w/auto trannys.
