sr20de+t fuel problems
i recently turboed my SE-R and i am having fuel problems

at idle my car is rich in fuel, when i rev it up to 3k rpm, it gets really rich to the point that the car, doesn't accelerate, then after a couple of seconds the excess gas gets burned and the car starts pulling really good but it stars running lean

the car is at 10.0 on my wideband at idle all the way up to 4k ish RPM. then it stars climbing all the way up to as high as 15.0 in 2nd gear, but in 3rd gear it stays at 13.0 or lower

i have 370cc injectors with a JWT ecu programmed for them, with a adjustable FPR and the fuel pressure is around 20psi

any help would be aprreciated

isn't FPR suppossed to be at 35-45 i think do u have stock fuel pump if u do thats why

That is really low fuel pressure man!

i have a Walbro FP, and if i put the fuel press any higher i will not start, or rev if it does start

sounds like you have another issue.1) I would pressure test the system and look for boost leaks 2) I would check the maf ground to make sure its and good and reground it to the intake manifold 3) check the tps to make sure it reads around .44-.50volts 4) reset the tps memory on the ecu 5) set the fuel pressure with the vac line off to 43psi. Also did you get your ecu reprogrammed or did buy one and have it programmed?

the ecu is chipped by JWT he posted it up i think hes just needs to install the pump and adjust the fuel pressure ohh at what gap are u running your spark plugs?

U know your supposed to run the .28-30 i think some where around ther i had something like this when i first turn on my car and it was the spark plugs they weren't gap

What's the adjustable FPR for? I'd ditch that for a stock unit ASAP.

It looks like your entire system is way off. Start with checking everything, is you maf type what the ecu is programmed for. And the voltage its reading, to setting your fp to 43 psi, setting your tps to .44v closed, setting timing to '15 btdc, maybe even check you cam timing if you have cams replaced. Set you IACV ACC and idle rpm to 850. Replace your sparkplugs.
If all is ok then your motor should run fine otherwise something else is wrong.

Other causes, not particularly in order:

- Bad / wrong type watertemp sensor
- Bad O2 sensor
- Bad wiring somewhere
- Bad MAF
- Boostleak or vacuumleak
- Exhaust leak before O2 sensor
- Clogged fuel system components (yes this can cause your motor to run extremely rich because the ecu doesnt know a better thing to do then lenghten the inj pulse to 100%)

when you run a walboro pump the fuel pressure will increase by 2-3psi so you need a adj fpr to set the base pressure.

I wanted to know if he used his ecu or bought one to be programmed. I have had issues with ecu's not matching cars due to a few different problems. One problem you get is certain sensors have memory on the ecu that will cause issues when installed into a different car than what they came from. This is why I recommended reseting the tps memory. Also if you stick a 94 ecu into a 91-93 se-r the car will not idle right and can have drivability issues. The same goes for sticking a early model ecu into a 94 se-r. I have had these problems with my own 94 se-r and verified the issue with jwt. Just some information that is not widely talked about
