well mine used to work good i turn it on for just a couple of times and then this last time i would take off the spark plug wire and no difference on all cylinders. I connected a timing gun and it will blink 2 times and then not blink until like 10 seconds later. I turn off the car then went to crank it no spark at all. Went to go get a distributor from JY and no go either.

So your problem is just like mine started then u will see no spark at all your going to get later on

well my car used to work good, i turn it on for just a couple of times since it wasen't done like all the suspension wasen't bolted up, but it ran like a champ how it sounded i even took it to a shop and they said it was perfect and then this last time i would take off the spark plug wires and no difference on all cylinders while it was on it sounded like a diesel engine running really crappy. I connected a timing gun and it will blink 2 times and then not blink until like 10 seconds later meaning distrubitor wasen't trowing spark right. I turn off the car then went to crank it no spark at all. Went to go get a distributor from JY and no go either.

So your problem is just like mine thats how it started then your not going to get spark at all thats how mine started. I don't now if its the computer im going to check that. do u have External or internal coil.

ah, ok. makes more sense. i am running the stock coil. yea, miine sounds like its a deisel. i will monitor the spark to see if it does go away. lemme know what you find. and i will do the same.

I always start by pulling your plugs one at a time, put them in the wire and lay the plug on the VC and turn it. If there's consistent spark, you switch over and check fuel. If there's not, you start working up stream. Swap out for your old wire, recheck. If it's still not firing, you've ruled out the wire. Then go to the cap and rotor, etc. Just keep working up the electronic stream. If you have one cylinder misfiring, on a distributor-based system, it really has to be between the distributor and the spark plug, plain and simple. I think a good thing to do it get a Noid light to check your injector plugs with. However, if you're seeing that your plugs are fuel soaked, you don't have much to worry about. If the plugs are really soaked, I agree with Ashton that you probably have a torn o-ring. Let us know what you see when you pull the injectors...

wires seem good, i get good spark. i swapped the wire with the old one...same thing. i pulled the injector. when i did fuel came with it. the plug is still getting wet. the o-rings looked brand new, just like they are. im totally lost and bummed out. its 45 degrees here today, so im also cold. trying to track down an ecu from the only local kid i know with a b13. in seaching, i read the injector curcuits are individual. so maybe one went bad...? anytime i ever had a misfire, it was as simple as a plug or wire. i have ruled that out.

i am certainly happy, but completely confused!!! i set out to get some things done today. my 240 buddy has a consult cable, so that was on the list for tomorrow if today went sour. i first determined that the maf was fine. we started the car with the misfire, unplugged the maf, and it fell on its face. ok, so maf was good. although i had already pulled the injector and inspected the o-ring, we decided to swap the injector with another cylinder. that would have shown a: bad injector if the misfire traveled to the new cylinder, or b: something electrical if the misfire stayed in that cylinder. to much amazement and a total illogical outcome, the motor ran beautifully from that point forward. we were expecting a misfire on one or the other cylinder and got nothing. im not complaining, at all!!! i would like to know what the hell the problem was though! thanx to all suggestions guys!!! thank you!

it might have just been the pin inside the connector not all the way touching, they tend to pull out sometimes, it could come back it it works it way back out or the wire to the clip my be semi broken or broken and just touching now. its happened to me and several other sr buddies several times. I would go and tug on each wire with the clip connected and see if a wire comes out or breaks. Then repair it.

note taken. although, i think i will leave it be while collecting some injector plugs and keeping them in my car for future reference....just in case.
