Thread: These cars are nuts!

So last night I wanted to see what my car could do top end wise. I pegged the speedo at 150 and the car still had alot more it wanted to go lol. I shut it down right when I looked down and saw that the speedo was pegged lol. It was some Scary ****!

Anyone else done this? The car actually felt pretty stable at 150mph

I hope you did this on a closed course correct?

I tried it one night late on the interstate before I swapped in the g20 gearing and I had the same feeling you did. I would never try it with the g20 gearing.....

I hit 8k rpm in 5th gear... Equates to about 170mph. With a better vavletrain (cams, springs, retainers) and a longer final drive I should be able to hit a little higher.

lol your nuts man. I saw 150 and saw that the car was still wanting and I was like "**** this" and let off! Id NEVER try that in a G20. The Aero on the NX makes me feel semi comfy trying a quick top speed dash like that. But with a G20 id be to scared.

The gearing in the Gdub though would most likely feel slower then the NX gearing so why would you be scared Hybrid? The longer gear of the G20 are a lil better for traction. But accel wise the NX/SE-R gearing is where its at

I'm not talking about acceleration wise. I'm talking about the fact that with se-r gearing I was close to being geared out. With the g20 gearing, there is alot more left.

When I am done with my VE I should be able to do like 150 at the top of 4th reving to like 9-10k with a p11 tranny.

Thats asking for a speeding ticket or some trouble. Ive watched the VE all motor videos. They crawl after about 120mph lol. It would take forever and youd need some road to do it. Ve's to me are fun cars from 1st to the middle or top of 4th. Turbo cars are the exact opposite. Middle of Second to 5th are the fun gear
