Thanks Kevo

I was leaning towards the Stage 1 Clutchmaster's clutch and pressure plate, I remembering reading somewhere that it had great holding ability and smooth engagement and driveability. My car is currently automatic and I was planning on doing a 5-speed swap at the same time for ease of effort (but adding difficulty of diagnosis ) but that's entirely separate project as far as this thread is concerned.

You don't need the GTIR manifold. The Avenir will work. This is a common misconception. It has to do w/how the manifold is shaped. The Avenir works just as well as the GTIR.

It's not that I'm going out of my way to purchase a GTiR manifold, it's just that is what is available with the motor.

I really don't have anything to add to this discussion except that on a very similar setup (except that I was running a 9.5:1 DE motor) I put down 287/274 on a dynoject at 16psi on my T28 and nearly exactly the same setup you're describing. 370's @ 4bar, z32 maf, walbro, JRC FMIC, etc. On the same day, Hybrid_DET made about 10whp more than me on his bluebird and the exact same setup as mine. All that just to say that if you're shooting for 270ish hp, you really don't need to add thermoblock spacer, UD pulleys, etc. etc., since you'll get there with no trouble. Now don't misunderstand me, I'm a fan of all that stuff, and I've put a lot of the same on my new setup, but you won't need it to meet your comparably modest power goals. Coheed (among others) is just so addicted to mad hp that he can't help but recommend every single last goody out there!

Conwrath , im in the same boat as you. autotragic with a boost bug. honestly, i think you should do the 5spd swap first. Its hard enuff ironging out turbo issues without worrying about 5spd swap issues as well. Just plan your steps out and you should be ight.
