i thought about that and swapped out a known good one with the same results.

Actually a gap of .35 will have a stronger spark at idle than a smaller .28-.32. I dont close the gap down unless its blowing out under boost.

If theres any spark at all while cranking then the coil is fine, reason why its not very strong is its not getting as much juice while cranking since the battery is under a heavier load with nothing charging it.... While cranking voltage drops to around 10.5v.

check compression.

i say bad gas, running close to empty and punching it,LEANED it OOOOUT.

Your brain is lean HKSavenir4us, how is he going to get an accurate compression reading when he cant even get the engine to idle and warm up? Cold compression readings are like pissing in the wind.

i wasnt running it, its been sitting in my garage for the last year or so. might be bad gas but it should still start.

Good call. Didn't give it much thought, tbh. I just know that I never trust plug gap and just throw them in. I always gap them to what I would normally run them at, regardless.
