If the idle is low the vacuum will be low too. It is weird that the car is still running with such low vacuum, but it the idle was low this would explain it.

well, ill go with this beeing the problem. from what ive seen from looking all over this and the old forum, it SOUNDS like my tps and my iacv arnt agreeing on things, and i need to reset my idle. well go from there. hope its something like that. crappy throttle response and all that jazz. i hope so.

Did you ever confirm that your cam timing is correct? when I had a low vacuum it was one tooth off on the exhaust cam. If it will not hold the idle, turn the ar off and fullly advance the distributor and see what it does at idle when you turn it back on..this is a little trick to see if cam timing is off

advance the distributor with the car off and turn it back on and see if the idle improves. move it a little then a lot each test to see if it changes.

Clearly , you don't want to take anymore advice.. Go do this simple test real quick...While the car (not ar) is off..advance the distributor quite a bit and then go turn the car on..see if the idle improves. then come back and report your findings.

no, im just frustrated, thats all. i moved the distributor all the way towards the firewall (dont know if thats advanced, i cant remember) and it ran much better. still hesitates a bit, but it wouldnt start at all when i went out BEFORE i moved the distributor.
