Valvetrain Questions
I plan on freshening up the head and making it alot tougher, but I have a few questions. I don't want to spend more if it isn't necessary. I want to be able to safely rev to 9k rpm. I plan on S4 cams. The head will undergo a minor port/polish and a 3 or 5 angle valve grind (can't decide which yet).
1. Valves, stick with stock DET intake and exhaust, or go with another brand?
2. Valve Springs, I was thinking the brian crower ones because of their price.
3. Titanium Retainers, I was also thinking brian crower as well for this
4. Valve Guides, I was think stock ones would be fine
5. New stock rocker arms (tip from mazworx for new cams)
6. Anything else I am missing?
Also does anyone know if cosworth makes a headgasket for stock bore? And about what headstuds to go with... AEBS (if I can find them) or the new ARP's?
