it makes me happy when all goes well, and bolts dont break off and stuff lol.

that being said, have the pics ever been posted off one fit with ac, and full bumper support bracket???

Im now using an SRT4 hella large upgrade intercooler. 35X12X4, The inlet and outlet are on the back side of the end tanks and point towards the motor. This is going to shorten all of my piping up by about 6 feet or so and look really good. I can mount it up closer to my frame rail as well for a nice clean fit. Im having the 2.5" inlet/outlets cut off, opened up to 3" and having two aluminum v-band flanges welded on in place. Ill also be welding my bov flange to the hotside intercooler endtank as well on the engine bay side.

I like to read these old threads to see if they have the answer to my question before I ask them. Didn't answer what I wanted to know specifically but still got some knowledge. I want to know if anyone is useing a tmic with there ve. I know about the heat soak issue but im only useing a t25 low boost app.

you know, this is pretty UN-orthodox thinking, but unless you are tracking a car; as in sustained high rpm's and boost pressures, an intercooler is pretty well useless unless you are doing water injection and/or methenol/nitrous fogging. As an example, a good friend of mine has a 510 with an S13 powerplant and a GT28RS @ 12 psi that makes 235hp all day long, and you can't really even stay in the boost long enough for any kind of I/C to make a significant difference. Steady 100-120 IAT in lower alabama, and the car is just too fast to exceed acceptable intake temps and thus justify an intercooler. You literally dont have the room on the road to justify it. How long can you keep your foot to the floor on any public street or highway? 10-15 seconds, maybe 25 seconds on a nice stretch of highway. How long in the boost does it takes your car to exceed 180-200 IATs? Another friend of mine uses water injection on a FD3S with stock twins and a nice(very nice) homemade IC with a fan that when coupled with the water injection, IATs will match or be slightly below ambient temps. Very effective indeed, but "necessary"? On a rotary maybe, SR's; not really. Do you really need the extra weight associated with a FMIC and plumbing? Throttle response is amazing with a 24' charge pipe. I/Cs obviously work, but at what point do you REALLY need one? Just sayin....

that's right, i said 24 "foot" charge pipe. Obviously I meant 24 inch...you take big one.

? I kind of get what you are saying but then again who wants better reliability, more consistent air intake temps? For track use or making real power i would recommend one to anyone. Also you really should take your car to the track to go fast safely anyway.
