i dont know anything abou thte kdw's care to enlighten me ?

KDW's have more tread block. The compound is a tad bit harder than a 615, too.

In perspective, all SRT-4's came factory with KDW's.

I would run the falken tires but I am very partial to the falken brand. They also like to give me free swag all the time because i sell so many of them. The falken's will wear quicker but i would say not enough to offset the cost difference between the two. you will be happy with either tire as they are both good choices.

I had a stock suspension before. And I didn't have many traction problems. The hyperco made traction a lot harder to find. I was surprised. Traction is horrible now. I think I will go 225-50-15.

By tread blocks, I mean the type of tread pattern used.

For instance, the KDW's have more tread blocks, like an all season tire, but they still are listed as a summer tire (DW stands for dry/wet).

The Azenis RT-615's seem like they wouldn't hold as well in wet weather. I'm sure they do, but I wouldn't know until I had to drive in rain with them

My brother was the opposite we put the OEM suspension on just to pass inspection and stuff and the car was floating like a boat all over the rd haha.

i see what your saying.

ive driven azeni's in the rain before. on a turbo car they just spin like butter on a hot pan. but all motor they are fine imho. just have to take it easy with them. hydro plaining is more common with azeni's but you shouldnt be driving fast with them or fast in the rain to begin with.

Yeah, I think any "sticky" tire that's great for a boosted car will suffer in wet weather on city streets. generally I try not to drive the car at all in the rain, just out of principle.

Especially here where there are no city drainage plans, so water just collects in heavy rain I've already had the pleasure of rain/snow driving in the northeast, and it's GREAT compared to driving in the same weather here in the west.

I'm thinking I may just go RT-615. It'll have to wait until the car gets to CT, though.

Are there any Discount Tire's in the tri-state area?

You should keep in mind that some tires that are listed as the same size might be different widths in reality. For instance, a 225 width RT615 will be a tad wider than a 225 proxy 4. It is all in who makes them and also the sidewall size.

The Azenis absolutely suck in rain. Period.
