Let me know how it goes in the rain or snow (if you go out to snowboard ).

I'll just have to drive on my baldies until first snowfall (at which I will try my wife's car and see how they go)

Can a 225/50/15 fit on a B14 wheel?? Anyone ever done it?

Fact or Myth?? There still seems to be a lot of opinions on this.

Here is a post by Rodrigo saying they won't fit:

Here is a post by Tekkie saying they will "probably" fit:

after reading the seven pages i need a break

driven97 says he rubs in the front. thats your awnser, if the tire rubs the slightest bit why run it in the first place ?

you will run into problems that could have been avoided, such as the constant noise of the tire rubbing while you turn , unless you only drive at the strip everyday
the inner splash gaurd will eventualy shredd to death and premature inner wear.

With 225 being being out of question, that saddens me because there are no good cheap 215's

I guess 205/55/15 it is for me

He said rubbing happens only upon full steering deflection, which means to me only when the wheel is turned fully to either side. I think most people rarely turn their wheel to the extreme of either side that often. I would think of this as a disadvantage to running the tires, but maybe a disadvantage some people would be happy to live with for the increase in traction.

Gomba, seems like we have 50/50 here.

I think I will buy two 225/50/15's and put them in the front, if they rub, I will put them in the back and buy smaller tires for the front... 205/55/15's.

Plus the 55's will make my wheel gap smaller

All the information I can find on people that actually ran them says they will work with none or minor rubbing.

Let us know what you experience.

p.s. you should check ebay for the tires. see if you can get them cheaper. Cheapest I saw was $280 shipped for 4x 225/50/15 ZE-912
