I don't have a GT2871R right now... I'm trying to decide between that and the GT3071R. Not really wanting to change to T3 just yet. I'm going to have my stock manifold modified (dimple removed) and flange welded for a Tial 38mm wastegate. If I'm wanting to stay with the T2 manifold is the .86 AR GT2871R my best choice (knowing I may not get the hp I am looking for, but will still be a huge improvement over my current GTi-R T28)?

JPsr20det- that is FAR from the spool of a T28 lol. At 4500rpms your just hitting 200whp. T28's are at full spool a good bit before 4500!

Edit: I can hit 25psi by 4500 RPM with my 3076R.

I'm running the T2 flange 3071r with the gti-r manifold on
my u13 setup.

Johnny if you can see the red line its the 3071 blue line t28....
fullboost on the 3071 its at 3850 rpm (only 10lbs) on the t28 its at 3600rpm...you barely "feel" this diff at the street.

This is the best comparo I have between the 3071 and t28 both turbos at 12lbs ...

Where does the 30 start making boost? Ive never seen a vid of a 30r that was at full boost by 4k. Any vid I watch of one on an SR20 it always STARTS spooling at 4k.

It start at about 2500 rpm .. maybe even a little less I cant remember very good but for sure its was at 2500 aprox (4gear)
My sc61 its started to make boost at 2900-3000 rpm(4gear again)
I have run this 2 turbos I know how they compare.. trust me the 3071 its less laggy (I have only tested up to 16lbs both turbos)and have a better transient reponce and a even better recover between the shifts...
Cheers.
