What exactly does that mean? It's downstream (or upstream?) of what exactly?

How are the welds on the intake? Were they damaged? How's your floor pan?

LMAO!!

"you're lucky you didn't blow the welds on the intake manifold"

But really, it could be a bad gasket seat or something along the lines of that.

I talked to Nate, and the compression was quite a bit off in #3, wasn't it? Like 40 points lower than the other three cylinders?

Yeah compression was low on #3.

And once again it is not a gasket, manifold, vac hose, etc leak... It has been pressure tested multiple times to look for those. The shop he took it to did it also and came to the same conclusion.

So are you guys thinking its valve related in that cyl? Or is it the piston rings?

I know he's pulling the motor, supposedly. I still think it could be a valve seat issue, or piston related. Still don't see how it wouldn't build boost, but it's more information than he previously had to go on...

yeah, it still doesnt all add up, but i am sure it will once torn down.

Yeah this is really just another problem IMO.

But it is a reason to tear down and rebuild everything and HOPEFULLY fix whatever is the real problem.

Simple fact... there are no leaks and turbo/wastegate are fine... So there is something making the engine not build a load to build boost.
