Is the turbo even efficient at 20psi? If it stops making power would 20psi hold?

At 20psi its most likely making ALOT of Tourqe not really alot more HP then say 15psi. But that tq is what will get you the numbers like Reddragun is running also.

Also a shot of Nitrous on top of the turbo would be retarted,. For the $450 your going to spend on a bottle warmer, gauge, and installing the kit you couldve just added that to the money you had for a turbo and bought on that can actually make 400who by its self. Also isnt cramming even more exhaust through a turbo that already wont be able to handle the high exhaust ammounts trying to exit from just the boost even worse? Even though nitrous cools down the air. Itll take you having to retard the timing to run it which is kinda like hustling backwards.

I myself will probably run a 50shot off the line like I used to do N/A and then have it cut off at about 4k when my turbo is up to its full spool. But running it along with teh boost is crazy to me. Its just to much effort.

On one of my older setup,i was able to get 316whp out of the old gti-r t28.That was at 16psi with jwt ecu & S4's.
400 is possible with some spray but the right tune is important.

With a 02 intake manifold a better exhaust manifold 3 turbo back , alcohol inj, s4 or c1, very good fmic ,valve job bigger exhaust valves , some port and polish to the head 10.1 pistons a good stand alone computer( and a very good tuner) I think its very pocible to get near if not 400whp on a t28.
I did 312 whp at 16lbs on a complete stock RR with the gti-r jpipe etc We also did 320whp on a strait t28 at 24-5 lbs on a stock ga16dne....So I think is not out of the question to reach your goal....but its $$$$$$$$
cheers.

If you have not tried it I would not knock it. Especially if the car is being set up to race. We have sprayed on a T-25 and the outcome is awesome.

I would not hesitate to spray on a T-28. Keep in mind they sell all the electronics needed to make the car run well as far as timing is concerned.

Nitrous is not a problem to buy I have the kit so there is no extra cash spent there. I plan on porting the exhaust manifold and I love TQ one the reasons I don't want to go with a bigger turbo. I want to have power the second I need it. Thank you all for the great input this is just what I wanted. I'm looking into every ones opinions and seeing if I can substitute anything in without making the cost skyrocket.

This was my plan two years ago. I had an external gate on my setup. You are doing exactly as i had planned. I got so far, that i sprayed a 55 shot with my t28 setup @ 20PSI, on race gas. Produced so much power that my sprung 6-puck clutch slipped like the dickens! Dyno graph just disappeared. Anyways, i made 328whp off the spray, and never got a decent dyno run down on the spray.

Basically, race gas + T28 + external gate + 75 shot + supporting mods should net you near 400whp.

Just be really careful, because you WILL be pushing the limits.

Get an external gate to prevent boost creep while spraying.

Great advice. Not sure this is a road ($$$) he wants to go down though.

Yea If there is boost creep oh well I'll adjust for it I just can't spend money on an external gate. Keep in mind it will be on 10psi and 93 octane for the street I only plan on upping the power for the dyno and track with race gas.
