At 444cc yes, you should be able to keep from melting the cylinders.

Next time I'll pull a quote, it's aggravating to have some newbie come back and tell you to read the whole post when THEY edited it after the fact.

Well I wasn't being a dick about it, sorry if you took it that way. But I didn't edit this thread once since I posted it. It was copied and pasted straight from the old forum. (with the exception of the very first paragraph simply stating that I had copied it over to here). I appreciate all and any input from you guys. Sorry again if you got the wrong idea from my previous post.

Oh and the VE should be pushing 30-40WHP more than a DET with a t25 due the the amazing head flow. for example, Big John was running 7psi and was hitting ~240 with a rough tune. most DET's i have seen are right around 200-210 at 7psi. Correct me if I'm wrong. It would be great if Big John or Miko could chime in and back up this concept(Again I'm pretty sure that the ve is going to make 30-40 more, I'm not certain).

Damnit, I was saying the wrong guy the whole time. I meant Big John when I said Serban. I'll go back and change that for future reference.

thanks for the input. Any suggestions? Might be easier to upgrade now before I put it all on. If its not too expensive.

OK there ya go - bigger MAF, and the 370's are at 4bar. The Avenir T25 is ball-bearing, manifold flows better, and the outlaw spacer + UR flywheel gets you a few more ponies to the dirt as well.


The truth is even if you just have the VE, slap on the turbo and parts you already you will have a grin on your face you just can't wipe off.

Eventually you will want to upgrade, it is inevitable, happens to all of us.
To hell with the numbers, just enjoy the fun of driving it!

my only real personal worry about the turbo kit, is the intercooler, some will say that size doesnt matter but i would want a semi larger intercooler becuase it has higher surface area and lower heat soak... with such a small intercooler you dont have the larger surface area and it might get good heat soak..it might not, but it just depends if you plan on more whp later the intercooler will then definitly get heat soak quickly..and you will in return lose whp
