Yes, I did blast it before I coated it . And I washed it out twice before I coated it and will be washing it thoroughly a couple more times before I install it. Thanks for the heads up though.

Yea one of my buddies had a intake manifold blasted. He didn't see a pack of shot in the IACV holes.

FULLY rebuilt motor, after 100miles was completely ruined, burned tons of oil...the cylinders were all scratched up when we pulled the head. Crosshatching was gonzo.

ok, last of the powder... for now . I should be good to go on assembly. The only thing I can think of is I need a nipple welded on the pipe going into the TB for the IACV. And I'm waiting for my compressor outlet

Wow, it has been too long without updates. I'm at work so no pics, but I have all the IC piping done, just painted my IC last night. I'll be installing that tonight probably. I think I am almost done with it. I need to bolt up my manifold and turbo, cut and reweld my exhaust to fit my downpipe and finish running my water lines to the turbo. I think that's just about it. I'll try to snap some pics of the piping, IC, and overall setup of it all.

Actually I have one more pic. This is my outlet I shaved a bit and powdered in Wrinkle Black.

Ok, I spent a little time out in the garage. I installed the freshly painted IC, black couplers and painted clamps for that "Stealthy" look . I also assembled my turbo, manifold, etc. Once I get my water fittings for the turbo, I'll install those, then install the turbo. Then I can Install my VC and all I have to do is cut/reweld the exhaust and bolt up the DP. I still need to install my boost guage. I also plan to get a nice oil pressure and volt meter to go in my 3 pod A-pillar.

Oh, and one question, how do I need to hookup my lines for BOV, WG and boost guage? Should the guage be reading after or before the TB? I have a Greddy ripoff BOV, does the top nipple go to post TB and bottom goes to pre, or is that backwards? The wastegate should go to IC piping or compressor correct? Would it be a good Idea to tap the compressor housing and T it off to the WG and BOV then have the post TB line just run to the intake mani?

Anyways, here's some pics.

IC etc.:

Very nice. Do you do powdercoating? What brand powder do you use. I ask because I do coating and we mostly use Tiger, Cardinal, PPG, and ISF powders. The blue looks like Tiger Sparkle blue as well. Its nice to see someone take the time to make things look good as they go.

Also here is how I did my vac. lines. The wastegate I put on a nipple on the piping, the BOV went to the nipple on the back of the manifold next to the Throttle body, and the boost gauge I teed into the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.

Yes, I do all my own powder . The blue is a base coat of silver explosion with a top coat of translucent blue .

Where did you run the second line for the BOV? I was thinking of teeing the BOV and Boost guage off of the nipple on the back near the TB.
