Supporting mods question
ok, I have a ZEX wet kit that I have had laying around for a few years, was going to spray the shit out of my GA16 Sentra and just have fun with it and see what happened (I was like 20 years old..haha) Now I have an SR20 swapped Sentra and want to have a little more responsible fun with it.

PLANS: 50 wet shot with basic upgrades to be able to have a little safe fun.

I was planning on upgrading to an AEM 320lph fuel pump because I plan on doing more mods in the future and would like to upgrade this just once and be done with it. Was also going to upgrade to a Z32 fuel filter as well. I also have a set of VE injectors around, will I need to use those? or can I use the regular DE injectors? Do I need to upgrade the ECU? or can I get away with the stock computer?

over 5 years ago,we put a zex kit on my buddy's @Tearoffguy bolted de nx years ago and its still going strong today. The lowest jets are fine just as it is.
He has a jdm de,ssac, pop charger, 2.5 exhaust stock inj, stock fuel pump(possibly walbro 255 cant remember)
,stock ecu,stock timing,stock sparkplugs.
The kit has worked flawlessly all these years and he hasnt even really had it tuned or anything(he needs to,lol)
actually we are working on having it setup for a bigger shot and have it tuned properly...but as of right now the tiny 55 shot( smallest jets) works fine.

I personally would not have just bolted the kit on without proper tuning, but it seems to have worked out ok for him

my biggest question is I want to see if I can get away with the 50 shot without going to the aftermarket ECU, because if I really need it I might as well just go all out and do everything and do a bigger shot and have more fun lol

You are going to want a larger shot then a 55 once you get started. Until you get in the 70 range the power being made is minimal. This is a very safe single fogger shot for a sr20.

To do this you are going to want a wet shot, colder plugs and to pull 2* of ignition. You can pull the ignition with the dizzy, run copper plugs with a small gap because nitrous fowls out plugs rather fast and it is easy to feed the fuel solenoid with a T after the fuel filter. I would recommend on getting a wideband so you can size the wet jet properly.

Your stock fuel pump, ECU, injectors will be fine.

So..cliffnotes:

-one step colder plugs
-pull 2* of timing
-smaller gapped copper plugs --how much smaller of a gap?

I was already planning on running a T off the fuel line to feed the n2o system for fuel
and with these I am safe with a 75 wet shot you would say then? with the stock ecu/injectors/etc?
also..wideband was already planned as I already have one sitting in a box somewhere..haha

Depending on your current plugs it may be two steps colder.

Run some ngk bkr7e with a .25gap to start. You can increase the gap after a good pull in. Just be aware of spark blow out.
