Sr20ve Nemu nitrous ideas
Ok so I'm going to install a nitrous kit on my ve this weekend. My set is: sr20ve stock 333inj. custom 4-1 header 2.5in collector to 3in cat back exhaust, nismotronic SA with all supporting sensors. Sr20ve intake manifold modded with 3in piping and q45 TB, 3in intake with DIY ram air. 6spd trans with spec stage5 clutch. Car makes 200hp NA Dyno proven. I have run nitrous on a few of my cars and never had an issue. My ? Is tuning with Nemu.
What I want to try.
Dry shot with 370cc inj and use the n2o function in Nemu to tune the addition of nitrous. If so anyone have input on tuning this setup and hp shot limits with this. I have tons of jets and can start the shot out very low 35hp?ish and I will take my time to dial it in.

I should add I already have a dry kit just sitting in my garage, so posting get a direct port kit will not be helpful. Trust me if I had a direct port kit I would spray this thing to death.

Thanks for any ideas or help.

your VE will love the nitrous.

a dry shot is fine as long as you add the fuel in through the injectors. the 370cc's should do you just fine.

i would not go past a 100 shot with a single fogger set up.

start with your 35 jet and work your way up to 100.

dont forget to retard your timing.

Ok sounds good thanks. I'll be adding fuel and pulling timing in the nitrous function tab in the nismotronic.
Any have first hand experience with the nitrous outpu in nismotronic? I would love some input from ppl that have used this.

Ok so I take it no one or on one here has used Nemu with n2o. I will be the test dumby then. I'll post my results based on my butt Dyno and virtual Dyno. I should also be heading to the track if the rain holds.

I ran a dry 75 shot on my DE for YEARS. With stock 259cc injectors.

^ Ok thanks for the input.

I stalled the N2O kit but have not had a chance to run it. A few issue are popping up with the nitrous function in the Nemu. As soon as the nirtous is active the fans come on as if the AC was on. Lol The AC function in Nemu over rides the nitrous function but even with it off the fans come on.

Worse. I was running a jwt ecu that advanced the timing. I had to turn the timing down farther than normal, manually, to make up for the ecu. I think I was just running BKR6E's with the dry kit, but I can't remember for sure.

What output are you trying to use to turn the nitrous on?

If setup properly, it shouldn't be over-ride anything.

Sorry, I just now saw this post .. so if you have any questions or need assistance just let me know!
