i would do it....but if it was up to me, every sr20 would have nitrous

I don't think the tranny will go that fast... I had a crappy 1.6 and launched on 20x8 inch slicks forever and never had a problem.. once you pre-load everything nothing has a problem breaking and the cool thing is automatics are always preloaded to some degree when engaged so you should be perfectly fine..

How would nitrous jack up a transmission?

I ran nitrous on my auto trans for a long time. Started with a 50 shot, then moved up to a 75. Best it ran in the 1/8th was 8.7 with a 2.014 60ft on street tires.
