Dry nitrous thoughts?
I've come across a good deal on a zex dry kit. I have a mostly stock DE, just intake and exhaust. Would I be safe running a 50 shot on the stock motor? I've heard spraying before the MAF would make the maf read cooler air and therefor increase fuel, which is my plan in my head to avoid getting a bigger fuel pump and afpr. Thoughts please?

You'll be fine. How old is the fuel pump? If it never has been replaced I suggest getting a new one.

Fuel pump is about 30k old. Still in good shape I imagine, never had any problems.

Feedback on spraying before the maf? My adapter plate for the filter has a bung that the sprayer could fit right into between the air filter and maf, good idea?

spraying nitrous pre MAF will decrease the life of your MAF. I am not sure if spraying pre MAF will cause and increase in fuel. I have heard that it does but I personally have never tried.

A small 50 shot is not much to worry about. I would recommend on getting a set of NGK BKR7E spark plugs and retarding your timing at the dizzy 2* to start.

I've never installed it before the MAF so I don't have any opinion on that. I don't think it would be ideal for your MAF. Since you're running the Zex Dry kit I would do it after the MAF, the Zex kit acts as an fpr that bumps up the fuel pressure when you spray. Don't go over a 50 shot with that Zex dry kit and a stock fuel pump. I had the same kit and installed it after the MAF.

I've had a dry shot on my de for almost 2 years now, don't spray much but have had some fun and it's ready to go at anytime I feel like twisting the knob on the bottle

started out with 55 shot jets and changed the jets up to the 75hp ,, haven't retarded anything, haven't had any issues! stock fuel pump!

spray after your maf or pay the price! ,, the Zex dry kit relies on stock fuel delivery up to 100 hp according to Zex.

it's recommended to run atleast or up to 100 octane, I usually fill the tank up with 93 and add a good octane booster, I use Outlaw and it seems to work real good with the spray..
