If I were going to do TB nitrous injection I would get one of the plates that has tons of jets built into it to get good distribution. I recall seeing a video of one in the last year that looked great. Or maybe one of those ones with the center pipe...

Thats much like what I want to make. Though I'll have to do some research and find out what the best jet layout would be and how to set it up exactly.

That's a carb plate but really its the same idea ... However, I may have had a revelation. Since we have a two piece manifold design I think it would be easier to do a direct port setup but with a custom adapter plate that sits between the upper and lower manifolds. Then it's direct port without the pain of modding the manifold itself. Any reason I can't space out the two manifold ~1/2-3/4" ???

I know the phenolic spacers are about 1/4" thick and don't cause any issues. Maybe you could go 1/2" and be okay. The issues are going to be all the emission and vacuum hoses and if they all have some play in them.

Extended emissions hoses or vacuum lines is no big deal. As long as there's no mechanical or fluid connections between the two it should be pretty easy to design and build an aluminum adapter with a port for each runner. I think for the two stage setup I'd use the sandwich adapter plate for the 2nd larger shot and a intake pipe mounted single jet for the first stage. The only question to me is if stage two should be : stage 1 jet off and stage 2 jets on -or- stage 1 jet stays on and stage two jets activate. The first option would mean stage 2 is entirely controlled by the plate mounted jets. The second option would mean that the plate mounted jets are sized to work with the intake pipe mounted stage one jet firing as well. Opinions ?

Search the web, you'll find that they've been making that same plate for the GSR motor for years. It's the only Honda setup with a two piece manifold.

Ahhhh, pretty cool setup the honda guys are running. Though I think I'd prefer a nozzle for each runner instead of a carb plate type rod. The rod only feeds from one side so the runner closest to the nitrous inlet will get the most and the farthest runner will get the least. The picture I'm looking at has a red end to the rod and a blue end. MAYBE it feeds from both sides but you'd still have the problem I stated. Here's a pic -

I'll run mine as a TRI Y line setup with a nozzle for each runner. That will keep an even distribution across all cylinders. I'm currently talking back and forth with dynotunenitrous to set me up with a kit they feel is best for either a two stage or a progressive setup based on tps wot and/or rpms.
