55 shot feels weak
Ok so I was doing some line rerouting and stuff and I ended up taking my B14 out on a trial run with the 55 shot jets in. For some odd reason it feels so weak. My timing is pulled back to *13 and I have BKR7Es in. Bottle pressure gauge showed 500psi because I didnt have my bottle warmer on.

Is this normal? Im scared of putting my 75 and 100 shot jets back in now. I checked the plugs after and they were fine (my NA BKR6E plugs looked white but that was because of a vacuum leak before I did the nitrous install) I used to have my timing at *15 with the 55 shot and it felt better.

Can *2 really make that big of a difference? Or is it my bottle pressure?

You have no nitrous lol. 500psi is NOTHING when it comes to nitrous. Get your bottle filled and try again.

Nitrouse need psi to wrk properly, First off if u dont have it filled as u use the psi dropps off. You can either always keep it full or get a Bottle heater and gague to increase the psi as u use the nitrous, but make sure u get the two becasue u can heat the bottle to much and increase in temp = increase in psi and if to much u can blow the bottle up.

good luck happy spraying.

Yeah weigh your bottle if you can. I bet it's only around 18 lbs or so lol. Full would be around 25 lbs.

For what it's worth you only really benefit from the first 3-4 lbs of nitrous use, once you fall below that you don't really notice it as much. I fill my bottle myself so I just top it off everytime I want to spray it.

15lbs would be empty, since you do actually have 500 psi I'd say you have at least a couple pounds in there.

So a 10 lbs bottle means the bottle holds 10 lbs of nitrous but the bottle really weighs about 15 lbs empty. So the full bottle weighs 25 lbs. Now AaronNX, are you saying that nitrous works well for only 3-4lbs so whenever less than 5 lbs is in the bottle, the power increase gets lame? just trying to clarify.

I always the description, "a 10 lbs bottle" was always referring to the weight of the bottle.

Ten pund bottle refers to how much nitrous itll hold. I tell people this all the time but nobody ever listens....if your Nitrous pressure isnt at AT LEAST 900psi you are just wasting your nitrous. You want the bottle pressure to be at 1000psi to 1200psi when you spray. A 50shot is enough of a kick in the ass to walk away from a T25'ed whatever. Youll definately know when your at the right bottle press because when the nitrous hits your tires will light up if you dont hit the nitrous at the right time.

When I had my first NX with a Zex kit on it. I was spraying a 50shot. Of the line I would launch the car at about 3k I believe and let it bog. Right when you feel it bog or about to bog (this will take you some practice to get right) floor it and let the nitrous pull you out of it! That gives you the traction you want and also the best 60ft time. I was pulling 2.0's all day like that with all seasons lol.

BUT IF YOU DONT DO ANYTHING ELSE AT ALL...HAVE A BOTTLE WARMER AND MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU SPRAY THAT YOU HAVE THE PRESSURE up!
