The girdle makes the oil bounce back and forth from girdle to crank. The faster you rev the more oil is doing this, the more power you lose.
Almost the same concept of knifedging a crank. As you are making the crank more aero drynamick so it can slice threw the soup of air and oil more easy. You end up with less frontal resistance.
WOAH WOAH where can I find more info on that. This should not be too hard with the engine in the car would it?
