Hi everybody,
I’ve got a 93 NX2k with an SR20DE in it…. For now.
I’m on the verge of buying an SR20VE off of Mr. Andreas Miko. I know, it sounds more like a time to rejoice then to start whining on this thread.
The dilemma is this. I live near Tampa.
I need to find a place and/or people that can do the job THE RIGHT WAY.
I’ve been searching this forum and the other forum, and so far all the places or people that used to be as good as gold have either moved or have gone out of business.
I’ve called about 17 places between yesterday and today.
7 of them never picked up the phone, 4 of the places now strictly only do repairs, 3 of the places are out of business, 2 of the places I left messages and still no calls back, and the 1 guy who could do it said he’d do it for $1000 if I brought the motor to him!! Every time I spoke to these places/people and explained what I need done, these guys bust out with tap dancing shoes and began the verbal version of Riverdance! Their enthusiasm was lackluster at best.![dunno](images/emoji/neutral/dunno.gif)
I wouldn’t mind doing the work myself, the only problem is I have very limited tools, no knowledge on the type of job, and no real place to do it. I also wouldn’t mind having a bunch of gearheads roll up to my apartment complex and a group of us to do the job; I’d even provide food and drinks.
Alcoholic drinks would have to be after, not during….![;)](images/emoji/happy/wink.gif)
I’m almost desperate folks, if I can’t find a decent place/person(s) to help do what needs to be done, I might just pass on buying the engine altogether.
I appreciate you all,
