Last time I took old oil to Autozone, they gave the the old containers back, I said WTF? They said can't dispose them. I usually go to Adv Auto part, they take your old oil without any problem. Or I take it to my local waste dump place near my city.

Most places in palm beach county (advance auto, auto zone, etc) won't take your empty containers anymore, and they make you dump them yourselves, I just empty them and take them back with me and put then in the recycling bin at home.

When I worked at advance auto we wouldn't let the customers dump it, when I lived in pa people used to bring in 5 gallon buckets of hydraulic oil, those are such a pain to dump into the hole on the top of the tank
