End Pitbull Ban in Florida!
Hello folks,

I wanted to make this thread because I figure some of you, or someone you might know who owns a Pitbull, Staddforshire Terrier, or any Pit-mix, might want to help out to END the Pitbull ban in Miami- Dade County. We are the only county in Florida that discriminates a dog based on its looks and breed. We need to end this so famalies out there can enjoy whatever dog they choose to own, and may the irresponsible dog owners who choose to create havoc with theirs, be penalized!

Here's a picture of my 1 year old female red nose/brindle Pitbull named Nala. I got her last year, in May. She has been nothing but such a loyal dog who is great with my family(who were skeptical at first), who have now grown to love her!

4 1/2 Months:

Her all grown at 1 years old(red nose) with her friend(blue nose):

I agree, I love pit bulls, so I decided to get the breed similar looking to them, the American bulldog...and I have two of them...big mofos too!

It pisses me off when people say its the breed. Its just not true, its the owners and how they raise them.

When people say its the breed, i come back at saying, oh. So all blacks like fried chicken, all germans love killing jews, and all asians are good at math?

Yep. It's the owners not the breed.

Anybody that encourages a large, strong, aggressive breed of any sort to become more aggressive is a douchebag, and is asking for trouble. With the obvious exceptions of a specially trained guard or police canine.

While all the pits I've helped raise (my roomates furry wonders) have been lap-dogs, big old love-hounds, you had to have a firm hand on their aggressiveness and simply discourage and curb that shit. Just like you would with a Doberman, Rotty, giant Poodle or a damn Dalmation (the latter, the two most biting dogs). Duh.

The Michael Vicks of the world are the problem.

I love American Bulldogs as well. I have a friend who has a huge one!(about 90 pounds) I like any mastive breed actually.

I completly agree. A dog is a dog. Its not like any of them are "pure breed" because there are so many mix's, it isn't funny. Steryotyping is the worst!

I agree with that saying about Michael Vicks are the problem. Some people find pleasure in tourchure. They should get into a boxing ring themselves and fight! See who wins there.

When most dogs get loose, they run around, sniff the ground, look for food, explore the area, maybe try to find their way home. When a pit bull gets loose, it looks for someone to attack and usually picks on weak humans, children or the elderly. Explain that to me.

BTW, shouldn't this be in the Off-topic section?

You use the breeds name so generally dude. You sound like an ignorant person. When you say "pitbull," you refer to ALL, right? Is that how you steryotype everything else in life? Anyways, my pitbull has been loose before and when she does, she doesnt get to far before I call her back. Although this one time she didn't come back, she was found by a group of "children" down the block. I sure was glad they found her to hand her back. Hey, they even got 10 minutes to play with my dog...look at that. You don't have to worry, their not bleeding or anything. You know there are other dogs who attack other dogs and people as well. Might most of the attacks be Pit's, maybe? That could just mean there are more Pits than other dogs in the area. How that dog is raised, is a very important question to consider, which is why MY PIT isnt going to hurt no one. People need to understand that these arent just dogs, but animals like every other out there at the end of the day. They need the proper training and excerise to keep up with the animals conditioning. You cant leave it at home all day and expect not to have ruckus. Bad owner=Bad dog.

Its in the "Florida" section because, well, its taking place in Florida. Go figure.
