Thread: wheres a cheap machine shop in south florida?

I'm doing the timing chain on my 1.6L the kit came with new valve stem seals, what's a good shop to take the head to in south florida? (I live in palm beach but drive everywhere)
About how much am I looking at it costing to get done?
Is it even worth getting done if I'm just selling the car?

The bolt for the alternator bracket snapped off in the head and then I snapped a left hand drill bit off in the broken bolt, I want to take it to a shop to get it out, unless a forum member wants to do any of it for me.

I don't know about the price to drill out a bolt. However, the shop I went to for a resurface is next to Ft. Lauderdale airport. I got the resruface for $40 which is a good price. His number is 954 476 8270 you can ask and see if he can do it.

I just called a shop by my house, they said it would be $180 for a head resurface, hot tank to do the valve guide seals, remove the broken bolt, and a vacuum port test to make sure the valves aren't bent, does that sound about right?
