local cooling sensor needed
need a Temp. gauge sensor. This is the single wire sensor that control the gauge in the car, I have a ve one and my gauge dont move pass 1/4 so i know this is wrong. pic up only i have to wait 5 days for dealer

Are the VE and DE ones different? I am having the same problem you described

I'd ask in the VVL section and or general. I don't see why they would be different tho.

That's the first quote I could find. I know there are others. I'm pretty sure the coolant temp sensors are different. Maybe that's just the two-wire sensor going to the ECU though?
It wouldn't hurt to match years of the one-wire sendor with the dash. I thought I had helpful info but upon second glance I guess I don't. Sorry.

obd1 and obd2 is different and from what i know usdm is different from jdm, ukdm.... i have a obd1 usdm sensor if thats what you need

Are you guys completely sure there is a difference?. He is talking about the small one. Not the one that has plug from the harness. That one is different but I didn't see any differences personally on the smaller one that actually goes to the cluster.

I don't know if you're asking me, but I am not sure if there is a difference in the one-wire gauge cluster sensor. I knew the VE coolant temp sensor was different, but it turns out after searching I found that the two-wire ECU sensor is the known different one. I have no clue about the one-wire gauge cluster sensor.

One is in degrees fahrenheit and next in celsius. when i install the ve on my gauge really dont move from cold
