Out of all the cars we saw there, we had 3 favorites.
1). Mazda 2: Very well put together, all 3 kids fit in the back seat without crowding.
Yeah, it's severely underpowered, but all the sources I've read have given
It rave reviews in the handling department. And, it's under $16k.
2) Hyundai Elantra Wagon: Yeah, I know it's an Elantra. But, it's very solidly built, fits
the family and has a ton of room in the back. Gets great
gas mileage and is under 17k. It is underpowered, but so
what.
3) Mercedes Uber Van: Based on the diesal Sprinter chassis... the ultimate travel van.
Words cannot describe how nice this was... 40" hidef tv, leather
seats that move around for different configurations and plush.
All for around only 90k
.
Seriously, I could dig the Mazda. I stopped worrying about "power" years ago, but love a car that handles. The Elantra would be for the wife and she likes it, so...
Lots of eye candy, lots of "yeah, I'd like/love that... how much?" cars. Got there early and left before the crowds. Lots of transplants from up north down here for the winter. How could I tell? Lots and lots of old people b.o. covered with cologne and perfume.
