Questions on new headers...
I wanna get some aftermarket headers for my 1992 Nissan NC X 2000.
I have found some on ebay...
I jsut wanna know how hard is it to remove and put on new headers? What all is required in this job?
I know they bolt on... but do i need to weld any parts?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-1992-1993-1994-Sentra-SE-R-2-0L-L4-Exhaust-Header-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem439d93e80dQQitemZ290406524941QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Would that work? ^^^

No welding involved. The worst thing you might run into is a rusted fastener on your car and/or a broken stud. Nothing too bad.

I can't comment on the eBay header you linked. It looks like the right one (2.5" outlet) but I'm not sure. I've never really had to find one. $90 seems a little expensive too? Maybe prices of steel have gone up.

Remember not to use the gaskets you get from the auction. Use as few of them as you have to. Get OEM MLS for the head/exhaust gasket at least.

Are headers worth the money?

Headers are one of the best bang/buck ratio for these engines, especially since now-a-days they are dirt cheap. Highly recommended for sure.

Don't forget he might have to drill out the mounting holes a little. Atleast I did on the SSAC knock off's to get them on.

Did you even read the link I gave you?

Not to mention, if you're asking what camshafts are, then we're obviously in some serious trouble.

You want a header. Singular.

V8's run headers, plural. One for each side of the motor.

You should consider three (3) things to start.

1) Find the Search Button on the forum. It will educate you far quicker than starting new threads.

Search took 0.24 seconds. Search: Key Word(s): header ; Forum: General

Advanced Search. Thread Titles Only. Key word - Header. General Section.

Twenty-eight (28) threads. Less than one-quarter of a second.

Now repeat that process on whatever other sections pertain to your vehicle, or parts you may be considering. After you Search "header", your next Search could be "exhaust" for instance.

2) Read the links posted for your benefit, before asking more questions. Like you just did with BenFenner. He posted a link, you ignored it. Which makes people hesitant to help you further.

3) Check out this link. And ask your basic "general auto" questions by searching "How Stuff Works".

HowStuffWorks "Search"

No he did not. I purposefully followed your link to the thread. His very next question was indeed answered by your link.

I *think* you were one of the people that directed me to "How Stuff Works", thank you very much. It's been very helpful.

Welcome <--This is a good start also.

And some basic engine theory would not hurt.

I guess the posted eBay header is the same as DNA Performance and other SSAC knock off's right?

Dirt cheap

Weeks ago I paid for a DNA Performance header (just as Viprdude) and days after I got a refund, they went out of stock and will be out for a while.
