FS: '96 G20 5spd - $500 or part-out
Up for sale is a 1996 Infiniti g20 5spd, chassis has about 140k miles on it, has a running UKDM 10:1 motor with good compression across the board (all cylinders cold where between 185-188), solid non-LSD transmission with no grinds and no pop-out, newer clutch installed recently according to previous owner. Has Tein S-Tech lowering springs on bad OEM struts front and rear.
All electronics work, has JDM amber corners and 2 sets of wheels (1 240sx + OEM, all tires are crap). The car runs and drives and was able to get me from Orlando to Boynton Beach (150+ miles), no overheating issues, etc. Chassis is decently rust free (no fender rust, door pillar rust, etc) just some slight surface rust where the florida sun gave it a beating.
The main issue is that the car was in a front-end accident affecting the front suspension on both sides. No chassis damage is apparent (fenders line up, LCA/UCA brackets are ok, looks straight from above and underside, radiator support is straight). As far as I can tell the parts that need to be replaced are: 1) steering rack, 2) passenger and driver side LCA and UCA.
The engine itself could use a new valve cover seal as well as a lower oil pan re-seal, but besides that it is a strong running motor.
why I am selling:
I thought I had the time for the project but I really do not at this time nor will I for a long time. If someone gives me $500 cash, they can come pick it up and take it as a whole, otherwise please make parts requests. The car would currently need to be towed as there is no good tire left for the front passenger side, with a good set of tires it will make it a long way, definitely anywhere in south florida (really bad toe-in will wear tires out quickly though, so be careful).
