Thread: How much for a head swap??

I might be getting a SR20ve head and would like to know how much are people charging to do the swap... i would pretty much provide the head and everything else.. beer if needed and food... and would like to know the turn around time? would probably need this done in a weekend... would like to just get an estimate..

put in a VE motor complete.

Sell the head swap for like $500-$550.

A head swap would cost the price of the head plus, $100 headgasket, an about $500 in labor.

Whwn finished you will not be able to run any cams bigger than the stock SR20VE cams because the valves will hit the pistons.


Get a VE motor and sell the motor coming out of you car.
