Thread: how can i get better gas milage

I have a 91 sentra w11 gtir turbo, 50lbs injectors, calum basic ecu, walbro pump. I drive about 20 miles per day and i get on it not to even get to 15psi, i run 8psi but car dont get over 70mph. I have to fill my car up about 3 times a week. need advice badly if i cant get better milage i have to sell this or dont drive cheaper to put it in storage than drive it need help badly

is it an option to find a beater, 20miles isnt much i drive that one way to work and only fill up once a week(full bolt on DE), whens the last tune up, get her on a dyno and find out if its running rich

DET with good gas milage.... i see 22 maybe 24 the most

if i can get 22 i don mind im gettin like 10 miles per gallon. i was on the dyno and my af ratio was 11.9. think ill change the wires and o2 sensor. talk to the guy i got the motor from, just told me he got them from the junk yard

From your math you get about 50 miles to a tank. Which is less than 5 miles per gallon. Even if your tune was EXTREMELY rich you wouldnt be that low. Look for a fuel leak in the lines somewhere. Or, if you are exaggerating, get the car tuned.

recirculate bov.tune with wide band.. get new o2 sensor.

stay in vacuum.

That's hard

with my old DET setup i got 21 mpg. highway with a light foot. But my setup was different than yours

Price you pay when having a turbo car. Stay out of boost.
