Thread: Shark Valley

Has anyone in SoFla been to the Shark Valley bike trail in the Everglades? 16 miles. I'm planning on going but want to know if anyone's had any experiences.

a friend of mine was telling me that it is a good trail. he did it straight and said it wasnt bad.

The straight side is the first half and is 7 miles.

is that the ride between 75(off atlantic) and US27???

Shark Valley Visitor Center is located on Highway 41 (Tamiami Trail / SW 8th St.) 25 miles west of the Florida Turnpike, exit 25A (from the north) and exit 25 (from the south).

AWESOME BIKE TRAIL AT THE END OF THE STR8 7 THERES A LOOK OUT TOWER WATCH OUT CAUSE WASPS MAKE NESTS UP THERE...also... if goin with children stay in the middle of the path dont ride bike directly next to grass.. gators do walk around there in the wild.

No kids. I asked my daughter if she wanted to and after I explained about the loose gators she was like "nah, that's ok, you guys go".

its a chill ride it can get hot, its paved road and it puts you right in the middle of the glades basically, you will see gators, try and go when its cool out and i also know that they have a few night time rides that get together down there its quite nice,
