Just throwing another compressor on it will surely have you redoing it correctly in the future. To do it right it should be a new compressor, clean out all the lines and condenser, replace the dryer, orings, orifice tube then vacuum out the system and finally put the refrigerant in. That's how it's $500 and that's with doing the work yourself.

zero years, i don't work for nissan but i have rebuilt a few A/C systems and the average is $500. A brand new nissan compressor is over 500 alone, heck a cheap advance auto one is still close to $300. advance auto compressor
