Great. A drag strip is a lot easier to work with and a lot less stress on everyone. It should be a great time.

I figure a 2 day affair is enough for the turn out we should have.

We are going for one track day and one park BBQ day.

We are not bringing mostly FL members and a few others.

My guess is that we will see 50-60 people in SER.

I am figuring that we could also have a caravan out the Miami Beach for the guys who want to hag out after the BBQ

True. Let's try and keep it small to start. Remember , we have to learn to walk before we can run.

Eventually the snowball effect will take over.

food and drinks shouldnt run no more that $500, especially for 50-60 people (even a 100 people at $5 per person is more than enough). i think the biggest focus should be on getting the drag strip as early as possible. once that piece is situated, everything else is really minimal.

i know to rent Brian Piccolo Parks pavilion is about 150-200. it has a 3 foot grill, outlets...plenty parking and is not far from i95, i75, i595, or the t-pike. plus there are basketball courts, a skating park, a cycling ring, soccer/football fields, baseball/softball fields, playground, cricket , volleyball...BPP has a lot of variety.

i can take care of getting the park if needed...i am always their and know the office admin as my cricket team is affiliated with the park.

another upside for BPP is that there are a few motels close by, plus malls...a couple clubs around the area too.

I'll be happy to attend this event as long as you guys don't try to be stubborn and plan it the same exact days as the SERCA Convention.

Back in 2000, Rob and I started doing annual south FL meets. We did them for about 2 or 3 years and each time it got bigger and bigger, and it was just a hassle to put them together. So if anything, do it as a annual FL meet, and not as a competition with SERCA.
