First Annual Florida SE-R Convention
Well serban suggested that we start a new thread to talk about a florida meet that would be convention size. well here it is. i would love to see my florida peeps get together and plan something like this finally. lets leave the bickering behind (because it does no good), and stick just to planning and events of such a day.

I personally dont have the time or energy to plan something of this magnitude, but i sure will be part of it. i have no expierence of what the convention was all about, or what activities went on because i never pay attention to anything that wont pay any attention to me.

First off.. a few peeps that are interested in the planning of this meet should step up, and put forth what ideas they can offer and what responsibilities they can perform.

Here are a few important points that need to be decided on.. obviously.

-Date and how many days.
-Location...location...location.(south florida or central florida?)
-What activities should be part of the event.

so speak up fellas.. heres your chance.

Here is one idea that i have... it should be based around either the Moroso track or Homestead. and we should look into renting the track.

hotel accomidations should be researched.

and a paypal account of all donations.

List of attendees.

I would say Moroso as it is more centralized. This give the guys from the nother counties a chance to come and mmet up without so much driving.

I would say sometime the last week of October, preferably a weekend.

We could try and rent out Moroso for the track events. Or at least research what would be involved, maybe have someone contact Moroso for the details.

A BBQ would be cool too. Maybe the 1st day BBQ so we can all meet, put some names to faces, talk tech, ask questions. And the 2nd day track meet.

Hotels a definite. Maybe donate some $$$ for supplies for food etc.

This could be HUGE if we play our cards right. Should we nominate somone to take the reigns and designate who will do what ?

Maybe we should get a list topgether of the people who would like to come and also contact everyone we know with a SR20 powered car.

We can maybe print 200 flyers, with this forums web address. Some phone numbers on who to contact and so forth.

It would also be great to keep all cost out in the open so we all know what this is going to cost and ask the people coming to all chip in with donations. All donation to be registed out in open also.

YES!!!! Whoever decides to design the flyers, i can prolly print 50-75 8.5 X 11.0 , or around 150-200 4 X 6 flyers. I came into some free ink. LOL

Oh this is on glossy, if regular paper i can prolly do more....

As far as cost of things, yes we need to know where the $$$ is going.

I have no problem donating as long as it's going to the right places. No secrecy....

Yea seriously. LET ME GET YOUR RIMS FOR MINE! lol. Slips for Circuit 8's!

My Ideas:

Anyone a member on the G20 servers? Make a thread over there as well. There are 2 owners that I know of that attend FAU and didn't know about the Markham park meet that just passed. I spoke with them and one of them has now heard of the next meet. We need to inform them because some don't venture onto other SR website.

Serban = Murrays :-) You know what that means!!!

We have to do this before the Holidays because that is when prices begin to rise. Hotels jack up prices in September from what I remember in my management classes.

Lots and lots of PICTURES during the meet so we can prove and identify the quality of the meet for future meets. That means you PHIL! lol. I'll help as well. Bring the SLR this time.

Attend local meets with flyers to any SR owners you know that does not use the internet forums. I know about 4 SR guys who never attend anything because they do not know and I don't go to local meets anymore but I will again to update once we have a set time.

LOL I don't know about that because I already have 6 slips at the house that are black for the drag car. 4 are for street tires and 2 are for DR when I want to go out and have some fun.

well lets start off with a list of people that will attend.

i will start the list in the first post. pm me to be added.

who shall be in charge of the funds, and how much shall we start it off at?

the flyers are a good idea. i know that just the forum is good advertising, but with the flyers.. we can give them out to the other nissan car crowds.

we need to come up with a date and location so we can design the flyer, but i think its too early right now.
